Virtual Experience: exploring a configured car before it was physically present
A large interactive rendering brought vehicle configuration into spaces that could not accommodate a real car.

On 23 October 2012 Jaguar Land Rover described Virtual Experience, an interactive showroom system shown at the September Range Rover reveal and the Paris motor show.
What visitors could do
A touchpad selected the model, equipment and features. A near-life-size rendering supported exterior and interior exploration, opening doors and simulated ignition. Gestures provided another way to interact.
A portable presentation, with a clear limit
The system used a screen and a laptop. It was intended for showrooms and public locations where displaying a physical vehicle could be impractical. Further model coverage and the ability to bring a saved mobile configuration were development ambitions.
The distinction matters: an interactive digital demonstration could help explain a chosen specification, but could not replace physical inspection or establish that a particular delivered car contained every displayed option.
