What to include in an electronics enquiry
Give the make, exact model and year. Describe the symptom in ordinary words: for example, whether the dashboard wakes, the ignition switches on, or the engine turns without starting. Explain when it began and what was happening immediately beforehand.
Spare key or all keys lost: preparing the enquiry
This is one of the first questions to answer. A spare-key enquiry starts with at least one working key; when every key is lost, the required assessment and arrangements can be different. State the number of keys you have and which functions still work.
Before buying a replacement electronic module
Save clear photographs of the original module’s label before ordering another unit. If a replacement has already been purchased, keep its photographs separate and identify both units clearly. The vehicle model, year and reason for replacement are equally important.
